I am happy to see how what we are doing is helping the ecology.
  • Reflection Question
    Energy Adjust the Thermostat
Your utility company is able to tell you your average energy usage. Ask them how your energy usage compares to others in your zipcode, and in your state. What other steps can you take each day to reduce your electricity usage?

We use only LED bulbs. I did a total conversion of all interior and exterior
lighting. they may be a little pricey but it comes back in the long run. The bulbs last longer and are not as fragile as regular or fluorescent bulbs.

I learned that leaving laptops and phones plugged in still draw power even if they are fully charged. even the chargers themselves will continue to draw power even when they are  plugged in.

We replaced our thermostats. We also clean them periodically. Dust will cause them not to
Operate properly. We always check the batteries also.
